Yesterday my husband Nate and I went to Hanging Rock State Park. This park is only 45 minutes from our house. The park has several waterfalls and hiking trails. For this trip we chose the lower cascade trail that ends at the lower cascade waterfalls. This is a great trail when its almost 100 degrees and humid. Up in the moutains is was much cooler. Sitting in the pool of water at the base of the falls felt great.![]()
We took Annabelle (dog) with us. She loves to hike and sniff everything she can get her little sniffer on. She reluctanly swam for the first time and did great.
After seveal hours of relaxing at the waterfalls we climbed the steep steps up to the trail, walked back to our car and headed for home.
